If you have a referral letter, you can drop by the assistant on the 4th floor of Briandlaan 11, 2037 XE Haarlem or contact us by phone at: 023 5336208. She is available from Monday to Thursday from 08:00 - 16:00. You do not need to visit if the GP has sent the referral letter via Zorgdomein (Mind to Move). You will be contacted by e-mail or telephone within 2 weeks
The waiting time for children and youth is 2-3 months (Learning to Learn).
The waiting time for adults is 6 weeks (Mind to Move).
If you wish to change or cancel an appointment, for any reason, you must inform us 24 hours before the agreed treatment. Appointments that are not cancelled or cancelled late may be charged. The practitioners have a common policy in case of no-show. You will be informed about this at the intake.
For the first appointment, the so-called intake interview, you will need a referral letter from your GP or a specialist. This will be given to you or sent to us directly by your GP. For children under 16, a signed declaration of consent is required from the parents/guardians with parental authority. During the intake interview, the connection between the circumstances and the complaints will be examined. In addition, the request for help, goals and expectations of the examination or treatment and the possibilities for this will be discussed. It is also assessed whether it is useful to involve the next of kin / family members in the treatment and whether social support can be of added value.
There is a close partnership between the psychologists and the other care providers (internal chain care) within Schalkwijk Health Centre, such as the GPs, physiotherapists, dieticians, speech therapists, pharmacy, GP practice support workers (called POH). For children and adolescents, there is cooperation with, among others, a play therapist, an education specialist, Appropriate Education, Centre for Youth and Families.
In the context of cooperation and ‘delivering good care’, consultation, intervision or supervision may take place, during diagnostics, treatment, with these healthcare providers in the (chain of) care. In this way, we can optimise your care. The psychologists are affiliated with Psyzorg. And for children and adolescents there is cooperation with other GZ psychologists.
For the year 2025, there are contracts with the following health insurers:
Is there a contract between Mind to Move and your insurer? Then you will receive 100% reimbursement, apart from the excess (€385.00). If there is no contract, you may have to pay part of the treatment yourself. Ask your health insurer or check the website for an overview of contract-free psychologists. Please also take into account the statutory excess of €385.00. To be sure, ask your health insurer whether there is a contract with Mind to Move (AGB code 22221139). It is possible that there is a registration stop for a particular insurer. Check the website of Mind to Move.
There are currently two GZ psychologists, one freelance remedial educationalist, a psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist, a psychologist i.o.t GZ psychologist, three master psychologists and a specialist therapist working in the health centre.
Basic mental healthcare is provided for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. Psychological examination and treatment is fully reimbursed from youth assistance of the Municipality of Haarlem, Heemstede, Heemskerk, Beverwijk, Velsen, Bloemendaal and Zandvoort. No excess has to be paid.
GZ-Psychologists apply the standards of their professional code, as well as the rules of health insurance and municipal youth policy: they work with ROM (pre- and post-measurements) and are in possession of a Quality statute. Should you still be dissatisfied despite our department's commitment to providing good care, you can of course lodge a complaint with GC Schalkwijk's “Complaints Committee”.
